New website coming soon!

That's right! Gallery 141 will be getting it's very own web page. There will be links, photos, contacts, Etsy, and even an additional Facebook page for all your "Wall-posting" cravings. What else is there to do at 3AM - but see what else is going on at Gallery 141?!? And then to continue on to see who else knows Gallery 141...and so on...till you end up back at your own page at 7AM, dead tired, and confused as to how you are 6 degrees of separation from yourself.

Additional Days for Rachel Chambers

Hey all,
I am in the gallery for some additional days, February 18th and 25th. I will be traveling in New Hampshire to see Sharon Arts Center and some other schools up there, so these days will make up for the ones that I will be absent. In any case, stop by and see the February show.

JC Fetlock is one of my favorite musicians and for that matter writer, and artists as well. He is a great friend of 141 and in '06 held an exhibition at the gallery of his beautiful hand-carved and painted walking sticks, each one custom made, incorporating the story and chakra positions of those for whom they are created. He also wrote and published a book Flicker, and his many artistic endeavors all incorporate his love of nature, humanity and spirit. The latest are his hand-printed, colorful "love bomb" tee shirts sold out well before valentines day. He brands his artistic endeavors under the universally conscious phrase, Made on earth. He was OFF the charts that evening with a performance that layered his many instruments and voice. A Holiday "Mitzvah" or Good Deed: Send a Local 4 Year Old Brain Tumor Survivor a Card

Marjorie O'Roarke shared this with us and we hope you will consider participating and passing it along to others who may too. To me, the holidays are all about reaching out into the darkest time of year to share love, family and friends and break the routine to express joy and gratitude for the many things to be thankful for. She has had two surgeries for her tumor at Hershey Med. and she is adapting to her shunt at home. Music Friday December CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Gallery 141 Christmas party merges with a listening room Music Friday. Two acoustic acts will be our 6 thirty and 7 thirty performances. Frank Amanze singer, songwrite plays a mix of unexpected acoustic covers and from his new CD. Check his site FrankAmanze.com for a preview. A bunch of our artists are going out of town and won't make the party but it still should be a fun evening of food, drink and live music. More updates as music gigs and times are confirmed.

December First Friday Cold Hands Hot band!

When we heard The Big Dirty we couldn't wait to book them for a gig at the gallery. December was our date and they did not disappoint. They chose to rock it in the courtyard and it was great! Iron Hill provided three varieties of home brew: India Pale Ale, Vienna, and Saison. We want to get the word out that they are another great place to go after First Friday venues are closed for dinner and a brew. They serve dinner til eleven and a bar menu til one am. Nancy Conlon brought her amazingly priced and wimsical lamp glass arts including tiny christmas trees and lots of ornaments including snow men, balls and beautiful icicles. Kristie was on hand with more of her hand made items...check out her ebay store...Sculptured Windows! Ben and Kaylin were our featured artists and they brought new work as always yet again stunning. Sanderson Images had the photo booth running. You gotta try this some time. You take your own photos of yourselves...individuals, couples, groups. You go on line and if you love it you can buy it to support charity and if not, have a laugh, and zap it to oblivion with the touch of a finger! This was a great fun First Friday in spite of a late start and bitter cold.
