BIG Weekend at the gallery kicks off Music Friday

MUSIC FRIDAY...6-7pm Bill McConnely, 7-8 JC Fetlock and 8-9 Tristan Chord. We are making our first attempt at creating a real listening room environment for musicians. We are still very much there to serve our customers, we just want to do everything we can with this new Music Friday opportunity to give musicians what the crave, a space to be really heard and perform. The show will be indoors unless the musicians choose to be outside and either way we will have seating for guests. So come on down and support your local musicians. If not Friday, then
ARTWALK...Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 12-5. You will find music, outdoor vendors including beautiful Jewelry by both Kristie and a new artist Barbara Giles will blow you away, art activites including tie dye your own items with us, and Ben and Kaylin on hand to show you brand new work and their show which is selling well, so don't miss your chance to own some of their beautiful work! We are expecting perfect fall weather!

Dance and movement---we continue to support our 141 artists in their performances at this event...DON'T MISS Alicia Petricio of Alicia's Massage and Jaques Abreau who will both be performing with their dance troupes up at the square for Artwalk. We will have one of Jacques pieces up in the gallery for Artwalk.

Ever So Inviting

Join us Kaylin Kostrey and Benjamin DeLuca as we open our show, "Ever So Inviting" on October 3, 2008! Come see our series of watercolor and oil paintings, as well as printmaking and mixed media. Be entertained by musical performances of Abestos, Myopics and singer songwriters Wendy and Dave. Musical performances start at 6pm and go until 9pm. Also showing, wedding photographers, Sanderson Images and two different videos by Susan Brindamour, a TV promotion shot of the gallery and downtown Lancaster. It's going to be a lovely First Friday, and we hope to see you all there!!

Networking for our musicians

This last First Friday (September) was the first time in a long time, maybe ever, that I had a chance to spend a lot of time outside listening to our musicians. It was really great actually and it gave me an idea. We are focusing on getting our musical talent hooked up with WXPN for their local music show and with our new gallery artists in residence, Sanderson Images (wedding photography elevated to the level of fine art), it seems to me that some networking there would be a good idea. Folks getting married are also trying to find the perfect match musically for their events. What if we try to get just a few minutes of film on our musicians and post them on the blog so we can help promote them.

September FIRST FRIDAY PCAD 2008 Grad Photography Show

We will have three great featured musicians, PCAD Grad Photography (scroll down to earlier posts for images from the featured Photographers), A photobooth for you to play with provided by Sanderson Images, Wedding Photographers Extraordinaire, art by Alana and LOTS AND LOTS of new beads, glass pendants & beads by Susquehanna Sizzlers, David Christianson, and more. Gorgeous Amber jewelry, carved natural stones, new beaded jewelry from around the world and locally, plus rock specimins and precious stones. Don't forget to pick up your Obama tie-dye tee! This will be a great First Friday and we can't wait to see you there! 6-9pm
